Walking Around the Stage, 2018
Five-minute performance with two performers

A performance involves an actor, a spectator, and a stage.
The actor stands on a stage, while the spectator does not.
The actor moves, while the spectator does not.
The actor is observed, while the spectator is not.
The actor wears a costume, while the spectator does not.

Stage versus audience.
Movement versus stillness.
Observed versus unobserved.
Costume versus no costume.

When there’s no clear demarcation between these elements, who is the actor? Who is the spectator?
Collaboration with Stella Kim.
