Sit With Me, 2015

Steel, mirror
40 x 40 x 45”

This is an interactive piece installed in public.

The slanted mirror allows two participants to look at each other straight on through a corner, easing the otherwise socially burdened act of direct eye contact.

This structure seeks to connect two strangers on a fundamental, wordless level, and challenge our tendency to regard others as persons of less substantial humanity as we coexist in a public realm.
